Marching Band

Marching Band (including Color Guard) is open to all North students as well as all North-bound eighth grade students in the district! After school transportation is provided from middle schools for rehearsals and events. Musicians must be enrolled in a band class, but there are no course or experience prerequisites for Color Guard.

As an extra bonus, students earn .5 Arts Credit for each year of participation, and 2 years of high school participation counts as the PE credit required for graduation.

Please consider joining us at North for our Season Kick-Off meeting in the North gym on April 15th at 7pm to learn more! We will also have a spring rehearsal with pizza on May 18 from 5-8pm.

Concert Band

There are currently three band classes offered during the school day at Westerville North: Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble. Most freshmen begin in Concert Band. Band class is the single most important ensemble in the entire Westerville North Band Program in regard to development of students’ musical knowledge and skills. It is in the concert band setting that students are taught the basic skills of performing music on their instrument.
